MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Melanie Champion
With over 20 years’ experience in Event Management, Champion Event Group Principal, Melanie Champion has managed and marketed hundreds of events including: product and venue launches, fashion shows, business award events, charity fundraisers, outdoor festivals, live music events and more.
In 2009, after being asked to join the Executive Committee of the Pyrmont-Ultimo Chamber of Commerce Melanie slowly built a name for herself running a number of successful and engaging networking events and developing a unique and marketable brand for the Pyrmont-Ultimo Chamber of Commerce. Her efforts whilst on the committee had a direct impact on increasing the chamber membership and generating sponsorships.
Melanie then ran Marketing, Events & PR Businesses Champion Marketing Solutions and Zebra PR gaining valuable experience in event marketing and public relations.
From 2013 to 2014 Melanie worked at the University of Sydney Union managing over 100 on campus festivals and events and teams of students.
IIn 2015, Melanie lived in the Solomon Islands for 9 months during which she successfully directed 6 high profile events including the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Excellence Awards and the VIP launch of the Coral Sea Resort and Casino. After launching and sitting on the board of Board of the Hapi Isles Health Foundation a charitable organisation which supports the Children’s Ward at the National Hospital, Melanie organised a lucrative fundraising event and was instrumental in raising over $400,000.00 for the charity.
Melanie is a visionary who is passionate about exceeding client’s expectations and seeing events come to life. A natural born leader, Melanie easily brings teams of people together to work cohesively to ensure events are well planned and successfully executed.
Melanie’s ability to understand a client brief, then transform it creatively and clearly communicate their vision to their audience, whilst delivering to a strict timeline is what keeps clients re-engaging her services.

One Girl is a charity that empowers girls through education.
Right now 60 million girls around the world aren’t in school, simply because they were born a girl. But One Girl are working to change that.
One Girl believes that EVERY girl has the right to an education, no matter where she’s born, how much her parents earn, what her culture says, or what religion she adheres to. Every girl has the right to grow, learn, and be the best she can be.
One Girl is committed to educating 1 million girls across Africa, and Champion Event Group is excited to contribute to this vision. Together we’re changing the world, one girl at a time.

In order to help One Girl achieve their goal of educating 1 million girls, we have set ourselves a fundraising goal of $100,000.
