With over 20 years’ experience in Event Management, Champion Event Group Principal, Melanie Champion has managed and marketed hundreds of events including: product and venue launches, fashion shows, business award events, charity fundraisers, outdoor festivals, live music events and more.

In 2009, after being asked to join the Executive Committee of the Pyrmont-Ultimo Chamber of Commerce Melanie slowly built a name for herself running a number of successful and engaging networking events and developing a unique and marketable brand for the Pyrmont-Ultimo Chamber of Commerce. Her efforts whilst on the committee had a direct impact on increasing the chamber membership and generating sponsorships.

Melanie then ran Marketing, Events & PR Businesses Champion Marketing Solutions and Zebra PR gaining valuable experience in event marketing and public relations.

From 2013 to 2014 Melanie worked at the University of Sydney Union managing over 100 on campus festivals and events and teams of students.

IIn 2015, Melanie lived in the Solomon Islands for 9 months during which she successfully directed 6 high profile events including the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Excellence Awards and the VIP launch of the Coral Sea Resort and Casino.  After launching and sitting on the board of Board of the Hapi Isles Health Foundation a charitable organisation which supports the Children’s Ward at the National Hospital, Melanie organised a lucrative fundraising event and was instrumental in raising over $400,000.00 for the charity.
